If you've been actively posting in the IC areas of the forum, you might have noticed that you're gaining Marks. Marks can be exchanged for OOC benefits or IC items.

- Faithful Companion – Your character can acquire a pet canine, feline, or runner. How this happens in IC is up to you. Candidates and Weyrlings are discouraged from this but not forbidden.

All Characters
- Firelizard Egg – Your character somehow obtains a firelizard egg. The flit's profile will be written up by an admin and sent to you shortly after you have the egg, and then it can Hatch at your convenience. How your character obtains the egg is up to you.
Pernese Characters Only
- Family Heirloom – A messenger arrives at the Weyr with an old item said to have been passed down through the generations, and it now belongs to you. This could be anything from an old Masterharper's gitar to books to an article of clothing that has been passed down from family member to family member until it ended up with you.
- Home Field Advantage – While out wandering around the area they grew up in, your character can uncover a secret that no one else knows of. What's inside can be discussed with the admins, and what your character does with this secret is entirely up to you.
Panfandom Characters Only
- More Than A Memory – While wandering in the desert, one of the weyrfolk find something that used to belong to you back in your home world, and they bring it back to you.
- Pull Point Change – You disappear for three days. You wake up again in the Igen Desert with your bonded dragon/wher/firelizards and your memories of your time in Pern intact. You also remember more of your life at home, and you might have undergone some physical changes.

- Character Slot – If you have 5 characters, but feel that you want to and are able to handle more, you can buy more character slots with your marks.

- Double Impressions – If you have more than one candidate in the next dragon or wher Hatching, you can have up to two characters Impress instead of the usual one. Impressions are not guaranteed; you will keep this reward until you have had two Impressions in a single Hatching.
- Puppetmaster – Do you have an idea for a major plot that involves the characters of Rise Up? While we are always taking suggestions for plots and ideas, by buying this reward, you can are guaranteed the chance to create, prepare, and run a large site-wide plot with minimal admin interference. All plots of this nature must be admin-approved, and we will help if you want us too, but almost all of the control will rest with you.

- Clutchin Time – If you do not have a clutching dragon, wher, or firelizard, you can buy this and have run a single NPC Hatching. You will be in charge of profiles, assigning Impressions, everything. All hatchling profiles and Impressions must be approved by the staff, but this is your time to shine, and we will do our best to work with what you give us.
- Mutation – You may have a dragon, wher, or firelizard Hatch for one of your characters to Impress that has physical (abnormal-sized wings, two legs, hunched back, etc.) or color mutations (must be of the five colors already available such as green with gold splotches or brown and blue mixed together) For an additional 100 marks, you may have a dragon, wher, or firelizard with albinism or melanism. For an additional 100 marks, if your dragon clutches or successfully mates with a clutching female, their mutations can be passed on to the next generation. You may buy this perk before or after you have your dragon.
