[Lucy Heartfilia]
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Rank: Lost
Fandom: Fairy Tail
Canon Pull Point: At the end of the Phantom Lord Arc, when Lucy is going to visit her father. (Episode 29.)
Appearance: Curvaceous, big busted, and blonde with a pretty face, Lucy is proud of her looks. She prefers to wear short skirts and sleeveless tops as the weather allows, even if she does like pretty and expensive dresses, so Lucy isn't quite sure whether or not she likes Pernese garb. But maybe with a few adjustments, they might be suitable. She keeps a variety of colored ribbons with which to tie up her hair. Lucy usually wears her shoulder length hair partially tied up in a bunch on the side of her head. On the back of her right hand is her pink Fairy Tail tattoo, which looks like a fairy with a tail.
Lucy has never been one for hiding her emotions, and demonstrates them with her entire body. She has brown eyes and a penchant for cute things.
Personality: Lucy is especially outgoing, happy and willing to meet new people and try new things. She's also extremely confident of her sex appeal, to the point of vanity, even if she still becomes embarrassed quite easily.
Lucy's clever, often coming up with solutions outside the box; she does, however, become overconfident in her abilities, leading her into situations definitely not in her favor. When that happens, Lucy is usually the first to run away. That said, if her friends are in danger or her convictions are challenged, Lucy will pay whatever price it takes for victory.
Her mother was a Stellar Spirit mage, like Lucy was, she taught her to never break her promises, once made, as their magic was based on mutual trust between summoned and summoner. She also raised her to be kind above all things, especially to those in her charge, and to never think of them as lesser beings. For Lucy, anyone who doesn't uphold those values is abhorrent.
Lucy's flash fire temper is as quick to flare as it is to cool. She doesn't often carry grudges, even against people who have personally hurt her or those she cares about. (Those grudges she does carry tend to resolve themselves in petty revenges, from hiding someone's shoes to lying in wait in someone's house to scare them.)
An avid reader, Lucy is interested in all the new books her impromptu trip to Pern has given her the opportunity to read (even if she'll probably never be able to read Kemu Zaeleon again). She's also an aspiring writer.
Her friends and guild are incredibly important to her: they were the family she chose after all. Without them, she's feeling incredibly lost.
History: "Lucky" Lucy is the only child of the stupidly wealthy Heartfilia family. Lucy's mother, Layla, was a retired mage of some power, who did her best to instill in Lucy the values that Layla herself held dear. Her father worked all hours, often working into the wee hours of the morning and going on extended business trips to cement the family business, but he always did his best to make time for her on her birthday. Around the time she turned ten, her mother died. Her father retreated into his work, only spending the amount of time decorum dictated he spend with his daughter and left the raising of Lucy to the servants. He provided with everything she could possibly need, from fine clothes to tutors on every possible subject. But what Lucy really wanted was her father.
She would often escape the house to try and sneak in to see him at his office. The servants usually stopped her before she got too far, but one day Lucy managed to hire a carriage to take her to the neighboring town where her father was visiting. In the nearby town of Magnolia, the carriage went out of control. The driver abandoned her, but a mage from the local stopped the carriage and saved Lucy, but before Lucy could express her thanks, the mage was forced to flee. The only identifying mark she saw was the tattoo of the local guild: Fairy Tail. On that day, Lucy decided she wanted to be a guild mage.
Her father had no specific objections to his daughter becoming a mage, as long as she kept up her studies in business, but he made clear in no uncertain terms that she was never joining a mage guild. At the time, Lucy had no objections, studying magic was enough of an adventure. She read as many books as she could her hands on (which was quite a lot), and eventually came across the works of Kemu Zaeleon, a mage author who wrote of his own adventures. His works inspired Lucy. She wanted to emulate him in every way. At fourteen, she ran away to start her own adventure and was brought back an hour after she left the house. Still, Lucy was determined and attempted to run away on several other occasions, partially spurred on by her dreams and her father's increasing distance from her.
And then one day, Lucy ran away and wasn't brought back the next day, or the following week, or the month after that. She put as much distance between herself and her family name as she could manage. A year after running away found her fleeing the army of Hargeon, after breaking up a slave ring and destroying half the town in the process. She was accompanied by new found friends Natsu Dragneel, a young fire mage raised by a dragon, and Happy, a winged blue cat, who were Fairy Tail mages! And they'd offered her a chance to join their guild! Of course, Lucy accepted their invitation, why wouldn't she? It was all she ever wanted, to be a member of (one of) the top guild in the country. Lucy's image of an upstanding and businesslike guild was ruined in about the same amount of time it took for a bar brawl to start between the entirety of the guild (in other words, in under five minutes). But for the daughter of a rich family who had thrown away everything about her old life, Fairy Tail was perfect.
Her first job was an unofficial one, where she tagged along with Natsu and Happy to rescue another mage. Her second one again with Natsu, after he tricked her into a promise of forming a team with him so they could complete a mission where they needed to infiltrate a mansion and destroy a book. They wound up destroying the mansion and saving a piece of priceless literate instead. Still, Lucy soon found out that Natsu had been quite earnest about forming a team with her. For Lucy, Natsu was a good friend and a true comrade, one that she could put absolute faith in. Her third job (yet again unofficial) put her on a team with Natsu and Happy, Grey, an ice mage, and Erza, one of Fairy Tail's strongest. Lucy didn't feel as if she belonged with them, but her help was essential in defeating Eisenwald, a group bent on resurrecting a mass death spell, and the team destroyed part of yet another town.
All property damage aside, Lucy never once regretted joining Fairy Tail. She soon made more friends than just Natsu. There was Mirajane, who was everything Lucy wanted to be: beautiful and kind. There was Erza, who was awkward but earnest and strong. There was the eternal stripper, Grey, who was usually a voice of sanity until he was in the same room at Natsu. And then there Levy, too, who supported Lucy in her endeavors to become an author and who Lucy told could read her book once it was finished. Who would have thought that it could have all gone so bad so quickly?
Fairy Tail was fast becoming Lucy's new family, the one she chose so she could be who she wanted to be and not a tool to be used and discarded by her father as he saw fit. So when she, Grey, Erza, Natsu and Happy came back from a mission to find the guild building all but destroyed, Lucy was horrified, sick, and angry. When the next day came and the guild found her friend Levy badly wounded with the Phantom Lord sigil painted on her stomach, when the guild's master declared war on Phantom Lord, Lucy stayed behind to stay with Levy. She was new to Fairy Tail, and Lucy knew that she wasn't strong enough to help. But turned out to be a mistake, as it was her that Phantom Lord was after. They took away her keys and locked her in a tower cell. Their guild master came to speak with her and told her that it her father who had sent them after the guild to bring her back. She tricked the guild master with an alternation of the old bathroom trick, kicked him in the nuts, and jumped out of her cell where, with a little help from Natsu, she escaped back to Fairy Tail.
But now her new family knew that her old one was willing to destroy the guild if it meant bringing Lucy back. Lucy wanted to go back; she didn't want to see them get hurt, especially not because of her. But Fairy Tail rallied around her, not willing to hear anything about her being guilty because she was Fairy Tail's Lucy. They took on Phantom Lord head on and won for the guild, for Levy, for her. Lucy couldn't help but feel guilty that her new family had suffered because she hadn't been brave enough to tell her father that he couldn't stop her from following her dream. She made up her mind to go and see him, to tell him that she didn't want pretty dresses or fortune forced upon her but a place where she was wanted.
That train never reached its destination.
{Spica}
Color: Blue
Sex: Female
{Fighter}
Appearance: Spica is stunning, there's no doubt about that. Slender and elegant where many of her siblings are awkward and ugly, she is a star among her siblings. With slender, short legs and long, sweeping wings she is more graceful in appearance then she is agile in practice. Despite her lovely appearance, she is not delicate nor fragile in appearance. There is indeed a great deal of strength in her proud, curved neck and behind those lovely wings. Her tail is a sure sign of her bloodline, with the excessive length that is a common trait among her clutchmates.
Her head is dainty and small, with a short and narrow muzzle. Her teeth only slightly point out from her lips, just enough to be a bit offputting on her pretty face. Her eyes are somewhat large for a firelizard, though not to the same degree as many of her siblings. Her eyeridges are light and not very well defined, more a line of bumps just above her eyes then the thick brows that some firelizards possess.
Personality: Spica is a gentle creature. She wants nothing more than for those around her to be healthy and happy, and does her best to make sure they are. She is constantly flitting around, giving out gifts of treats and small, shiny things to those she cares for. She enjoys being around others, and the most wonderful thing in the world to her is simply making someone else happy. She wants nothing more than to see Lucy smile, and every smile from her mistress is a gift that Spica cherishes deeply. It would be a mistake to assume, however, that gentle means weak. Spica is not a push-over in social interactions and does not let herself be bullied by other firelizards, even if she does avoid violence whenever possible.
Spica isn't particularly clever for a firelizard, compared to some of her siblings. She is resoundingly average in intelligence and cunning. She is, however, a quick learner. She will pick up on training and tool use far quicker than many of her siblings, and her dutiful personality will only lead to her further outstripping them in training. She enjoys learning and will usually be quite willing to behave herself in lessons. However, she is easily bored when not being taught something new. While not normally destructive, she will bother her owner for attention and something to do and likely make herself a nuisance until given a new trick to focus on. Because of this, it would be wise for Lucy to keep up on Spica's lessons.
Despite her sweet personality, Spica has an unfortunate thieving urge. She has little understanding of ownership and as such will happily take anything shiny and sparkly that she sees and present it to her mistress. She will also constantly be lining her nest with anything comfortable. Her quick learning will make her an especially effective thief, as she will always be learning new ways to make off with trinkets from her fellow firelizards. This is absolutely awful. Lucy will be able to return these stolen objects, but actually stopping Spica isn't likely to happen.
Spica adores Lucy and everything about Lucy. Her owner may be overconfident at times, but that's alright with Spica. Spica prefers a more sedate lifestyle with her owner then most firelizards, which means that she won't be a nuisance when Lucy would rather read then spend time with the blue. Friendship is just as important to Spica as it is to Lucy, and as such Lucy won't be the only one to earn affection from this blue. However, it will be Lucy that Spica curls up with to nap and Lucy to whom Spica returns to for every meal. That means something.
