Sparkle was certain that she was the most amazing of firelizards. What other firelizard had such a wonderful place to hide her eggs? None! Surely, only Sparkle was clever enough to find such a perfect thing to hide her eggs in! It was hidden and it was safe and it was even in the kitchens, which had lots of yummy smelling food. The bronze curled up inside of her little hide-away, crooning to herself as she twined her tail around her tiny clutch. Just let Diedro find them here! Sparkle was absolutely sure her master would never, ever find her secret clutch.
Meanwhile, Diedro was not having a good morning. She had put Diesk down to sleep before noticing that her firelizard was missing. Unfortunately, that could only mean two things. Either Sparkle had vanished off to steal someones pocket change, or she had gone off in search of a safe place to lay her eggs. Either way, the wherhandler knew it would be best to go and find the wayward vagabond. But where would Sparkle hide her eggs? Surely this was the greatest mystery Diedro had ever faced in her life!
She sighed. "The kitchen." If she knew her Sparkle, that was certainly where the firelizard was. Sparkle lived for food. Food, and shiny things. With another dramatic sigh, Diedro set off for the kitchens and her firelizard. She rushed by quite a few people, not stopping to either say hello or ask for help. The last thing she wanted was to arrive too late and find that some opportunistic caverns worker had made off with Sparkle's clutch.
"Alright, you awful lizard. Where are you?" Diedro asked, looking around the cooking area. She planted her hands on her hips, just to look extra scary to the flitter. "Come out with your wings up!" She peered into the various pots and bowls of the kitchen, searching for her firelizard. "Spaaarkle. I have a treat for you!"
Sparkle popped her head over the pot she had been hiding in, cheeping in excitement at the prospect of a treat. The firelizard balanced precariously on her haunches, resting her front paws on the rim of the pot. "Freeeep?" She asked, fluttering her wings in excitement. "Skreep! Froooop."
"And a freep to you, too." Diedro laughed, making her way to the pot. "Oh, gross Sparkle! People have to eat out of these, you know! You've ruined it." She plucked the firelizard out of the pot with one hand, holding her underneath her arm. "Bad firelizard. No shinies for you." She peered inside the pot. "Aww! I think this is your biggest one yet. I guess I should start looking at owners, huh?"
Sparkle, merely excited about being spoken to, eagerly chirped and whistled in response to Diedro's voice.
"Does anyone have a basket?" Diedro asked, looking around the kitchens. "We can't really keep the eggs in a pot! Well, we could. But that would be pretty rude."

The In The Rough egg
Did Sparkle put a rock in with her eggs? Maybe a lump of coal? The In The Rough egg is a miserable, bumpy things. Easily one of the smallest of the clutch and surpassing the Grain of Sand egg only the slightest bit, this strange egg is hidden towards the back of the clutch. It feels abnormally hard to the touch. Maybe she did put a rock in the basket...
The Grain of Sand egg
The smallest egg in the clutch is easy to miss, a dully colored thing hidden towards the back of the clutch with In The Rough. This egg is covered in many small ridges, running from the very tip to its base in neat rows. While this egg isn't particularly noteworthy on its own, someone who stares enough may notice that the Grain of Sand egg has an abnormal sheen.
The Good Fortune egg
The Good Fortune egg is Sparkle's darling, set in the center of the clutch and given a small amount of space to itself. While not the largest egg in the clutch, it is impressive and eye-catching with its deep red coloration. This egg is more angular then the others, with a few large, hard bumps decorating its sides.
The Trapped Within egg
This colorful egg is set towards the outskirts of the clutch, pressed up against the wall of the basket. The Trapped Within egg is a sight indeed, the largest of the clutch and decorated with many strange shapes and colors. The egg seems smooth, but if someone was to run their hand over it they would feel many gentle bumps and slopes along the shell.
The Legendary Island egg
The Legendary Island egg has been isolated, even compared to its crimson sibling. Set towards the outskirts of the clutch, it neither touches nor overshadows any of its siblings. Pale orange and decorated with darker markings, this egg isn't particularly noteworthy except for its rather large size. It almost seems to not want attention. But that would be ridiculous. Eggs don't want or not want things.
The King Killer egg
Placed in the back along with the Grain of Sand and In The Rough eggs, the King Killer egg seems to have almost been placed protectively in front of its siblings. Small as it is, its deep green colors are sure to catch at least one appreciative eye. This egg is only slightly larger then the two siblings it is placed with.
The Guardian Amulet egg
What an unusual egg! At first glance, this egg seems to be an uniform purple. This is not the case. The Guardian Amulet egg almost appears to be a polished stone, with many shades of violet mixing together on its shell. One of the more moderately sized eggs in the clutch, this egg would probably go unnoticed if not for its bizarre color.
The Soul Mirror egg
The Soul Mirror egg leans against the Tranquil Grace egg, nearly matching it in size. A swirling mix of greens, this egg is perhaps one of the more lovely of its siblings. Its shell is smooth and its shape perfect, setting it apart from its siblings. It almost seems eerie in its perfection compared to some of its more unfortunate clutch-mates.
The Evil Eye egg
The Evil Eye egg is not just isolated. It is nearly abandoned. It has been shoved to the back of the clutch as an afterthought, most often nearly buried underneath the sand of the basket. When it can be seen, this egg is lovely in coloration. While its base is white, there are many faint suggestions of color running over its shell. It is average in size.
The Tranquil Grace egg
The Tranquil Grace egg is a rather calming blue, with markings that almost suggest rain from one angle and delicate lace from another. An average sized egg, it is perhaps only notable for being placed close to the center of the clutch. It shares a little dip in the sand with the Soul Mirror egg, which leans against it. If one was to touch the Tranquil Grace egg, they would feel many small ridges in the shell.
