Well, you guys have probably noticed that baby dragon writing is definitely my favorite part of pern. While I have Sparkle, my clutching firelizard, I can't exactly run clutches 24/7 and doing that would burn me out anyway. But I still like to write dragonets and I figure you guys like to get them, so I thought I'd put up a little thread for you guys here. Just comment in the thread and request a dragon and I'll write you one. The dragonet will be done in 1-2 days and PMed to your inbox with a silly pm title. If you would like to show others the profile of the dragonet, you can post it here. Rules1. You can use these dragons for anything you want. 2. Please don't rush me! :c 3. If you would like an Impression post to go with the hatchling, please specify that in your post. 4. If all of the slots are filled, please wait until one is cleared before posting. Slots1. 2. 3. Avon 4. Dmage (Impression Post) 5. Inouken (Impression Post)

I'll take a dragon and if you wouldn't mind, could it work for this site? An Impression post would be great.

i am the ceo of this weyr >:I Egg Description
The Forgotten Relic egg is easily one of the largest in the clutch, towering over its siblings. That doesn't mean it's particularly impressive, though. This egg is a sad, dull grey, covered in dark veins that give it the appearance of being wrinkled. The shell of the egg seems almost worn, and when touched it feels slightly rougher then the other eggs. The dragonet inside gives an aura of being irritated with the candidates and its siblings. It's surrounded by idiots! :(
Hatching Description
The Forgotten Relic egg, having been content to stay still for most of the hatching, decided that now was finally the time to make its entrance into the world. The egg shuddered in place, flakes of shell sprinkling the sands around it. With one last, mighty heave, the dragonet spilled onto the sands.
"Freep!" He yelped, jumping to his feet and giving the sand an affronted look. It was hot out here! How dare the sand be hot! Didn't it know that the Antique Statue Bronze was the boss? No sand would be hot on his watch. He stomped away from the heap of eggshells that had once been his home, only throwing one last glare at that restrictive prison.
Now was no time for grudges, unfortunately. He had work to do. Human finding work!
Impression Post
The Antique Statue bronze was starting to get hungry. Though he wouldn't admit it, he was also starting to get a bit lonely. His siblings were already pairing off with their humans, leaving the sands and thus leaving him. The Bronze was one of only a handful of hatchlings left on the sands, creeling piteously and weaving through the candidate line as they tried to find their riders.
[Garronth]
Color: Bronze Sex: Male
Appearance: Garronth is an awkward hatchling. With his long, knobbly legs and rail thin body, he seems to be half finished, as if he forgot to bulk up properly in the egg. Maturity won't help much in the bulk department, but he'll finally leave the awkward 'looks like a baby horse with wings' stage. When Garronth is done growing he'll be a sleek dragon, with a thin build and long, graceful wings. Until then, however, he is about as graceful as a newborn horse that also has wings that are too big for him. Garronth will forever be falling over, smacking into things and getting stuck in doorways. His long tail won't help matters, either, since he's practically guaranteed to trip someone with it. He is quite tall for a dragon, thanks to those long legs. They won't be very useful in the air, but Garronth will be more skilled on the ground then many of his kin.
Garronth's face is quite handsome, or at least it will be. He has a long, tapered muzzle that is perfect for looking down at others over. His cheek-bones are well developed, giving his face an elegant appearance. His eyes are large and expressive, often giving him away even when he's trying to be mysterious and broody. His headknobs are long and curl towards the back of his neck instead of away from his skull. Unfortunately, as a hatchling he'll still look pretty ridiculous, especially with those big puppy eyes.
In coloration, Garronth is a dark, grayish bronze. Greenish bronze marks decorate the underside of his wings, chin and belly, marbling with the dark bronze and giving him the appearance of a weathered bronze statue. As he ages, his hide will begin to take on a more green tilt as is the case with many bronzes, and these markings will likely be less notable. While he is young, however, they are quite striking.
Personality:
Garronth takes himself a bit too seriously. He often acts like an old dragon in a young dragon's body, painting himself as being wise beyond his turns. Garronth firmly believes that he is the boss and is the one that should be calling the shots around here. For the good of everyone else, of course. He's an ambitious dragon and he likes the idea of being in charge, if just because that means it's easy to fix the things that bother him. He doesn't particularly want to be a weyrcouncil member, because that sounds too complicated (and boring), but running a wing? Sounds great. He's going to be over here, starting up a Pernese police wing.
Despite that obvious arrogance of that assumption, Garronth really does do his best to be a good leader. He's young and inexperienced, but he readily pays attention to what other people say, even if he doesn't admit it. He wants his team to succeed, and power isn't worth sabotaging them. Garronth is fond of those who he views as being 'on his team', acting like an overbearing father figure. He is always ready to give out advice or offer comfort or beat up a bully, though he probably won't admit that he loves them. He really does, though. He worries a lot about those he cares for, and often frets about their health. Expect a lot of coddling from a concerned dragon if someone he cares for is sick!
Garronth is a bit of a grump. It's easy to irritate him, even though he tries to soften his temper for those who are close to him. He doesn't particularly get mad at individuals, just the world at large. The desert is too hot. The Weyr is too unfair. He isn't, however, a complainer. Garronth likes to fix the things that make him angry, even if it can lead to some very absurd things. A dragon standing outside of a council meeting and protesting about food rationing? A dragon trying to set up tarps so that the weyrfolk won't get burned by the sun? Of course. When Garronth sets his mind to fixing a problem, it can be incredibly hard to discourage him. He will fix that problem and make everyone happy! He will! Just watch him! Look, he's doing it right now! He is fixing all of the things and no one will stop him.
Garronth is actually a bit awkward in normal, friendly situations. He's very much all business all the time, and can easily be caught off guard by a friendly conversation. He's easily tongue tied and freezes up when embarrassed. He's even a bit insecure, worrying that he'll chase his friends away with his abrasive nature. Don't even bother complimenting him, because you'll just embarrass the poor guy to death. He is prone to hero-worship towards older, more experienced wingleaders or council members who have established themselves in the Weyr. In fact, Garronth is prone to respect in general. While he is not a trusting dragon, once his trust is gained it's very hard to lose it. He would gladly go to the ends of pern for someone who he cared for and trusted. Then do it again.
Garronth, despite all of his flaws, is a pretty smart dragon. While his memory isn't the greatest, he has a talent for thinking on the fly and reacting quickly to stressful situations. He's got a good head for threadfall, able to stay clear-headed through scores and continue giving orders despite being injured. Garronth is brave and not afraid to die for the Weyr, if so be it. Thread-fighting is his duty, after all, and the duty of every dragon. Unfortunately, Garronth doesn't really have much of a head for time slots and organizing a schedule, so he may be better off as a wingsecond then a wingleader.
Inspiration: Old bronze statues, of course.

Are you late? For a very important date? Color: Brown Sex: Male Appearance: Antikyth isn't exactly a muscular dragon. While he definitely has the strength and stamina to go about his day and fight Thread, he leans towards the chubbier side of the spectrum. He is small for a brown, and will never really shed his hatchling chub. His legs are small and thick, making him quite awkward on the ground. However, he has extremely long wings that were a bit too long when he was a hatchling. His wingspan is a bit disproportionate to his body, making him quite eye catching when he's in the sky. His tail is long as well, and quite thin compared to the rest of him. He's quite the unusual brown! Antikyth has a broad, flat face without much of a muzzle to speak of. His head is quite round, giving him an almost owl-like appearance. His eyes are large and command a great deal of attention. His head-knobs are quite pronounced, sticking straight out of his skull. His face over-all is much softer then most dragons, with underdeveloped eye-ridges and a weak bone structure that is hidden under his extra weight. He has a bit of an overbite. Antikyth's base hide is a pale brown. Small, dark brown stripes begin at the tip of his muzzle and end just before the base of his tail, running down his spine. While the membranes of his wings are unmarked, the bony parts of his wings are the same dark brown as his stripes. His tail is also dark-brown. His face is even paler then the rest of his body, and rimmed with black. Personality: Curiosity killed the cat. Luckily, Antikyth is no cat. Otherwise, he'd be in a lot of trouble. As a weyrling, this dragon was always interrupting classes with questions, and age hasn't changed him much. 'Why do this?' 'Who decided that?' 'Why are you allowed to boss us around?' He doesn't mean to question authority or be rude, he's just honestly curious about everything around him. Antikyth is nosy and constantly sticking his nose into laces it doesn't belong. He just wants to know everything. He spends a great deal of time studying interesting things, even going so far as too seek out potentially dangerous situations just so he can learn something new. Capture a live feline so he can study it? Sure. He would. Antikyth is extremely visually oriented and often closely examines things, even if that means he has to get right up in their faces. Antikyth is unintentionally rude. He's honest to a fault, easily insulting others by forgetting to soften his words or refusing to tell a gentle lie instead of a harsh truth. He has a poor sense of boundaries, and while he does his best to not make others uncomfortable, he can sometimes forget himself and get just a bit too close or stare for too long. He doesn't mean to insult people by staring at them for so long. He's just studying them. He doesn't mean to talk over people, either. He doesn't understand that most non-weyrfolk don't appreciate having a giant dragon muzzle right in their face. He's always apologetic when he realizes he has hurt someone, doing his best to make up for his poor behavior with overly exuberant gestures of affection and friendship. Antikyth can be quite condescending at times. His lack of social graces and his own confidence in his intelligence leads to him often talking down to others. He thinks he's quite wise and loves to give out advice, but the truth is that he hasn't really learned the way of the world yet. He tends to lean towards the romantic side of things, telling people to listen to their heart and waxing romantically about things. He's an insufferable know-it-all and he just has to correct someone when they're wrong. He doesn't really understand why someone wouldn't like that, either. He would want to be corrected, after all! So why not everyone else? Antikyth has an unfortunate habit of projecting onto others, assuming that what's okay for him is also okay for them. Antikyth is a creature of schedules and habits. He isn't comfortable without organization in his life. He needs to have his Weyr neatly organized, as he's frightened by change in his private quarters. He absolutely detests lateness and isn't afraid to scold others for it, either. Unlike some dragons, who may chafe under strict restrictions and rules, Antikyth does better with what he can and can't do clearly outlined for him. It gives him more confidence in himself and what he does, and assures him that he'll only be getting in trouble for just reasons. He hates messiness and may even try to pick up after his wingmates and clutch-siblings, if they let him. He just can't stand to see an untidy work area! Antikyth has an excellent sense of time, and usually uses it to remind people of just how late they are. Antikyth is well aware of his own flaws, and because of this he tries to be a good friend. He's very supportive, always ready to offer a shoulder to cry on. Even with his strict schedule, he'll always find a way to take time out to talk with a friend about their problems or to just curl up together in the sun. He expects nothing in return for his time, because he firmly believes that he's just being a good friend. Antikyth would happily die for any of his friends, and he enjoys spending time with them almost as much as he enjoys learning new things. He's forever pestering them with new discoveries, trying to share his joy with his those he loves. He can be a bit oblivious in his dealings with his friends, easily shrugging off insults as playful teasing and ignoring betrayals until it's too late. His rider will have to take care to guard him from those who would seek to use his giving nature against him. Inspiration: Clocks and owls. Feathers and watches, huh?
